Abia state governor Kalu condoles with Ladoja over mother’s death

Eminent businessman and former governor of

Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has condoled with a

former governor of Oyo State and National

Leader of Accord Party (AP), Senator Rashidi

Ladoja, on the death of his mother, Alhaja

Halimotu Ladoja.

Kalu urged Ladoja not to mourn but rejoice

that not only did his mother livelong enough

but also lived a fulfilled

life.

Alhaja Ladoja died on Wednesday night at 94.

He said: “With the quality and calibre of

children, including you, left behind by Mama,

we cannot regard her as dead because you

are there to continue the good cause she

lived and fought for while here on earth.”

Kalu, in the message signed by his Special

Adviser, Oyekunle Oyewumi, said what

Ladoja needed was to pray to God for

strength to quickly put the loss behind him

and focus on contributing his quota to the

development of Nigeria, especially with the

2015 general elections in sight.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of Alhaja

Ladoja and the fortitude for her family to bear

the loss.
