Directed by Joseph Ofili, The Journey Begins is a movement geared towards building individuals who understand that mistakes, challenges and setbacks are a crucial part of the human experience and existence as well as young people who possess the strength to embrace them when they happen and the courage to move beyond them to live a worthwhile life.
Primarily set within a law court, the performance opens with the story of six individuals confronted by diverse challenges of life. This story is delivered through intriguing hybrid of drama, music and dance. Then, it follows the trajectory of each character’s peculiar emotional dilemma, leading to a thought provoking resolution, before climaxing in a high energy musical performance.
