The Zamfara State Police Command has intensified patrol in all places of worship as part of measures to ensure a hitch free Ramadan fasting in all nooks and crannies of the state.It was gathered that places of worship including mosques and churches were being patrolled by security agencies to ensure safety of worshipers at all times. A visit to one of the preaching sites in Gusau, the state capital showed that policemen were deployed for the safety of worshipers.
According to Mallam
Abubakar, a worshiper at one of the preaching sites, they were now more comfortable with the presence of police personnel in the area, adding that police were now more active and vigilant.
In a recent interview, the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Baba Tijjani had reiterated his command’s commitment towards ensuring zero crime in the state.
Mr Tijjani disclosed that his men were alert and ready to combat crime and criminals for a better society.
According to him, his mission was to ensure a state that was 99 per cent free from the activities of hoodlums
