(Craigslist via Kansas City Star)
Since there's nothing more romantic than football, why wouldn't a sane woman trade her wedding ring for some tickets to the biggest game at Arrowhead Stadium in a few years?
The Kansas City Star and USA Today said a woman posted an offer on Craigslist: Her wedding ring for Broncos-Chiefs tickets on Dec. 1. And she found a taker.

“It’s official! I have tickets to the game!!!” the woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, said in an email to the Star. “We met at a jewelry store so they could verify the ring was real and matched the appraisal I had provided him.

“The official trade was the ring for 4 tickets to the 12/1 Broncos game and 2 tickets to the 11/24 Chargers game.”
Now, before we get too crazy, the woman explained that the engagement ring and matching wedding band came from a previous marriage. And you know what that means ... she has another ring left to trade for playoff tickets!

According to the Craigslist ad the rings were worth $3,100. The engagement ring has a .45 carat diamond on top and 20 small round diamonds weighing .50 carats, and the matching wedding band has 10 more diamonds with a weight of .25 carats.
Rusty Jones, a season-ticket holder since 1993, had been recently talking engagement rings with his girlfriend a month ago so he traded the ducats for the ring after having a jeweler appraise them, the Star said.
“They appraised them at $2,800, so it was close,” he told the Star.
The Star said the woman plans to give the tickets to her husband for his 40th birthday. The man who got the rings said he plans to have a big Chiefs party on Sunday at his house for the Broncos game (which is on the road, you may have heard about it) including an entrance tunnel like they have at Arrowhead ... and pop the question with his new ring.
