It was a night of high praise and solemn worship at the just concluded night of worship, where both international and Nigerian artistes converged on Delta State to offer songs of praise to God. The event was tagged: “Delta Yawdah”, meaning “Delta Praise 2014. The popular Okpanam road, venue of the event witnessed a heavy presence of people who came from far and wide to praise God.
Twelve distinguished musicians from within and outside the country delivered great music and led the people to give God praises.
Anchored by talented comedians, Akpororo and First Born, the audience, in their thousands, thronged the venue with great expectations of God’s visitation. With the look on their faces and judging by the mood, they appeared to have been touched by the ministration.

d.Part of those who stunned the event was the Mid-night Crew, their performance was the cynosure of all eyes. The Igwe crooner led songs upon songs that resonated with the people, especially with their Urhobo song ‘Ibenne’ which was received with shouts as the quartet of Mike Abdul- the Fuji exponent, Ayo Ojo-Onasanya- the oriki specialist, Pat Uwaje-King-gifted vocalist and leader of the team and Gbenga Oyebola the master lyricist all gave the people value for their time.
Lionel Peterson of the ‘Jabulani Africa song’ from award-winning album, Rejoice Africa was on stage with the distinguished governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and his wife, Roli as the governor delivered his speech to the listening pleasure of the audience.
South African singer, Peterson urged the people to believe in their country as he led them into spirit-filled worship .
His popular song “Peace” ushered the audience to another level of worship as celebrity and Delta State Commissioner, Richard Mofe-Damijo was lost in worship.
